Analysis of Strain and Failure of Asphalt Pavement

Abstract
In the present century, due to the condition of roads’ existing pavements worldwide and the high cost of implementing and repairing pavements and environmental pollution, improving the existing conditions of asphalt production has become particularly important. This study was introduced, and tests were carried out on each of the organic compounds materials for asphalt mixtures in order to reduce environmental pollution. The purpose was to improve the properties of asphalt binder and then improve the mechanical properties of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), generate desirable mixtures with the aid of natural, non-toxic, available, and inexpensive materials, and finally improve the asphalt pavement. Hence the procedure includes the axial strain of asphalt samples containing Bio-surfactants under stress and the number of cycles leading to failure of asphalt samples containing Bio-surfactants. The performance of the asphalt binder was modified with a Rhamnolipid Bio-surfactants against fatigue. Repeated Axial Load test results showed that samples containing 4% Rhamnolipid Bio-surfactants had the lowest final strain at all temperatures.
